Chapter 3 - The Physics of Absolute Control

Derek didn't test the waters or attempt to probe with cautious hand-fighting. Enraged by the public challenge to his untouchable status in the gym, he exploded forward with a reckless, heavy blast double-leg takedown. He lowered his massive center of gravity and drove his entire two-hundred-and-ten-pound mass straight ahead, fully intending to spear Cole through the vinyl mats, shatter his posture, and make a brutal, unforgettable example out of him in front of the entire academy.
To anyone watching, it looked like an unstoppable freight train colliding with a wooden fence.
Cole didn't flinch. He didn't give a single inch of ground, nor did he panic or scramble backward.
With lightning-fast reflexes forged from a decade of close-quarters combat against armed insurgents in subterranean tunnels and hostile alleyways, Cole moved with supernatural economy of motion. He pivoted sharply on his back foot, slipping the clumsy, head-first charge by mere centimeters as Derek's momentum carried him forward into empty space.
As Derek careened past, Cole snapped a violent, vice-like front headlock into place. The sharp crack of their bodies colliding echoed through the silent room like a whip-crack. Before Derek even realized his feet had completely left the canvas, Cole utilized the big man’s own overwhelming forward momentum against him, executing a flawless, textbook lateral drop.
Derek slammed onto the mats with a bone-jarring thud that vibrated through the floorboards and rattled the wall mirrors. The sudden, violent impact forced every ounce of air to explode out of Derek’s chest in an ugly, wheezing gasp.
Before the heavyweight could even process what had hit him, Derek scrambled frantically to roll over onto his belly, desperately trying to turtle up and protect his neck.
It was already too late.
Cole was already there, glued to his opponent’s back like a relentless shadow. With seamless fluidity, my brother slid both hooks inside Derek’s thighs, securing a crushing back-mount before Derek could post a single hand to defend.
Panic—raw, primal, and absolute—flashed across Derek’s crimson face. The cocky, predatory bully vanished in an instant, replaced by a cornered animal realizing with terrifying clarity that it had just been locked inside a cage with a apex predator.
Thashing wildly, Derek began throwing desperate, uncontrolled elbows backward over his shoulder, twisting his massive frame with every ounce of his two-hundred-and-ten pounds in a frenzied attempt to buck Cole off.
Cole absorbed the chaotic, thrashing movements without shifting his hips an inch. His expression remained completely flat, utterly unaffected, and chillingly detached, like a technician performing routine maintenance on a machine.

Without wasting a single motion, Cole slid his left forearm underneath Derek’s thick, stubbled chin.
He didn't rely on conventional sport Jiu-Jitsu etiquette or friendly gym leverage. He sank a deep, suffocating rear-naked choke, wedging his right hand firmly against his own bicep and driving the blade of his wrist directly behind Derek’s cervical spine. The hold was applied with such terrifying precision and mechanical efficiency that Derek’s eyes instantly bulged outward from their sockets.
