Chapter 5 - The Masterpiece Restored

Three months later, the private art gallery in Hannam-dong was packed to capacity. Seoul’s cultural elite, international investors, and prominent socialites mingled beneath glowing spotlights, admiring a breathtaking exhibition of restored Korean contemporary masterpieces.

At the center of the room stood Nyla Avanoir, wearing a stunning midnight-blue silk dress that commanded every eye in the room. She held a glass of sparkling water, smiling warmly as she accepted congratulations from museum directors and international curators.

Dante Baek was gone—his empire dismantled, his smuggling ring exposed, and his freedom traded for a quiet, permanent exile in a federal maximum-security facility. Han Seol-ah had fled to Europe weeks prior, leaving behind her galleries, her wealth, and her illusions of grandeur.

Tamson walked up beside Nyla, clinking her glass against Nyla's with a bright, triumphant grin.

"You know," Tamson murmured, looking around the magnificent gallery, "for someone whose wedding night was an absolute disaster, you've managed to curate quite a spectacular recovery."

Nyla looked out across the crowded room, watching the light catch the golden hues of a restored canvas hanging proudly on the gallery wall. She touched the smooth, unblemished surface of her skin, feeling an absolute, unshakable peace settle deep within her bones.

"It wasn't a disaster, Tamson," Nyla smiled, her eyes shining with absolute clarity and power. "It was just a very necessary restoration. Some things have to be completely broken down before you can finally see their true value."
