Chapter 4 - Turning the Tables on the Predators

Aidan’s face drained of color, his jaw slackening in sudden, horrifying realization. "You... you bitch! What did you do to my son?!"
"I did what any smart CEO does when hostile predators try a hostile takeover," I replied, stepping slowly toward the master control panel behind the captain's desk. My hand hovered over the emergency lockdown button. "I terminated the contract."
Fiona shrieked like a banshee, lunging forward with her fingernails bared, aiming straight for my eyes. "I'll tear you apart! I'll rip your throat out!"
Before she could take two steps, a heavy security bulkhead door slid down with a deafening clank, dropping directly between us. Fiona slammed hard against the thick reinforced steel, screaming obscenities as Aidan pulled her back, his eyes darting frantically around the bridge.
"Evelyn! Open this door right now!" Aidan roared, pounding his fists against the metal. "You can't do this! We are your family! We will ruin you! The authorities will arrest you for murder!"
"Murder?" I laughed, a sharp, cold sound that echoed through the bridge's intercom system. "Let's check the yacht's automated security archives, shall we?"
With a tap of my finger, I broadcasted the audio file of their earlier conversation—the one where they toasted to my death and planned my parents' assassination in the mountains—across the entire yacht’s internal PA system, looping it on maximum volume through every deck, cabin, and lounge.
The incriminating words echoed through the luxury corridors: "Just one gentle push... 300 million dollars will vanish... A tragic brake failure on an icy pass, and the entire Sterling family reunites in heaven."
Aidan and Fiona froze in absolute, paralyzing horror. They realized too late that the yacht’s smart system wasn't under Flynn's control anymore. It was registered biometrically to me—the primary heir and sole owner of the Sterling enterprise.

"The Coast Guard was pinged the moment I unlocked this master terminal," I said, my voice cutting through the intercom static like a razor. "And by the way, Dad’s security detail intercepted your 'guys' in the mountains an hour ago. They're all in federal custody."
Sirens suddenly wailed outside, cutting through the roaring wind. Flashing red and blue lights illuminated the bridge windows as a massive Coast Guard cutter pulled alongside our port side, its spotlights locking onto the yacht.
