Chapter 3 - The Collapse of the Fake Empire

The ballroom erupted into pure chaos. Daniel’s business partners were shouting across tables, demanding immediate clarification from Arthur Vance. Several guests pulled out their phones, frantically recording or making calls as the scandal unraveled in front of 150 high-society witnesses.
Just then, the grand double doors at the back of the hall banged open. Daniel strode into the room, his face flushed red with fury, trailed by two security guards.
“What the hell is going on in here?!” Daniel roared, his voice booming over the microphone feedback. He stormed down the aisle, pushing past wedding tables until he reached Chloe, who was now sobbing uncontrollably on the floor, her makeup running in dark streaks down her cheeks.
Daniel glared furiously at Arthur Vance, then snapped his gaze toward me, standing calmly at the head table.
“You! You low-class trash!” Daniel snarled, pointing a shaking finger directly at my chest. “You orchestrated this! You and your ungrateful brats ruined my wedding reception, my company, and my life! Guards, throw these filthy peasants out of here right now!”
None of the security guards moved an inch. In fact, one of them—a burly man with a federal badge clipped to his belt—stepped directly in front of Daniel, blocking his path.
“Daniel Sterling,” the federal agent said loudly, pulling a warrant from his jacket pocket. “You are under arrest for corporate embezzlement, wire fraud, and money laundering. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.”
The room went dead silent.
Daniel’s face turned the color of a bruised plum. He looked around wildly, realizing that his powerful empire had completely collapsed in less than five minutes. He lunged forward in a desperate attempt to grab the leather binder from Maya’s hands, but our fourth daughter, Chloe-Junior (whom we called CJ, a black-belt in martial arts), moved with lightning speed.
With a swift, practiced motion, CJ swept Daniel’s legs out from under him. He hit the polished hardwood floor with a heavy, humiliating thud. Pinning his arm behind his back with effortless precision, CJ pressed him securely into the carpet as the federal agents swarmed in and slapped steel handcuffs onto his wrists.

“Don't ever raise your voice in front of my dad,” CJ whispered coldly right into Daniel’s ear before hauling him to his feet.
As Daniel was dragged out of the ballroom in handcuffs, his head hanging low in utter disgrace, the 150 guests watched in stunned awe. The illusion of wealth, power, and superiority that Chloe had traded her family for fifteen years ago had vanished into thin air like smoke.
