Realizing he had nowhere left to run and that his elaborate criminal enterprise had completely unraveled, Robert Sterling lunged frantically toward his executive leather chair, desperately trying to grab his briefcase to sweep his personal documents away. But federal marshal Marcus Vance intercepted him with lightning speed, clamping heavy steel handcuffs around Robert’s wrists with a sharp, metallic click.

“Robert Sterling,” Marcus stated flatly, reading the formal charges aloud. “You are under arrest for federal wire fraud, corporate racketeering, securities fraud, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.”

Robert slumped forward, his head bowed in defeat, his expensive Italian suit rumpled and ruined. As the federal marshals hauled him out of the boardroom in front of the entire corporate staff gathered in the hallways, a profound sense of peace washed over the room.

Daniel walked over to his mother, wrapping his arm around her shoulders in a warm, protective embrace. “It’s over, Mom,” Daniel whispered softly, tears of relief shining in his eyes. “The corporate vultures are gone. Sinclair Holdings is finally clean.”

Eleanor smiled, reaching up to pat her son’s hand. “It’s not just clean, Daniel,” she replied, looking proudly across the room at her grandson Noah. “It’s protected. For good.”
