Chapter 77 - The Spring Convocation Address

As the spring semester of 2032 rolled in, Hartwell State invited me to deliver the primary spring convocation address to the graduating senior class. The coliseum was packed to its absolute ten-thousand-seat capacity, filled with proud parents, excited graduates, and distinguished faculty members.
Wearing my full crimson and gold doctoral robes, I stepped up to the grand podium, looking out over a sea of ten thousand bright, hopeful faces.

"When you walk across this stage today," I told the graduates, my voice ringing clear and strong through the coliseum speakers, "remember that your degree is not just a piece of paper or a passport to corporate luxury. It is a tool for building truth. Never let anyone convince you that where you start determines where you finish. And above all, never let anyone make you feel invisible. You hold the pen. Write your own equation."
The coliseum erupted into a deafening, roof-shaking roar of standing applause. Flashbulbs flickered across the arena, and right down in the front row, Uncle Arthur, Donna, and Curtis stood cheering wildly with tears streaming down their faces.
