Three weeks after the courtroom victory, a formal delegation from Maison de L’Aura arrived directly in Marrow Hill from Paris, France. Led by senior creative directors and master tailors, they came not to poach Karen’s talent, but to formally establish a joint creative partnership with Ashby & Co.
Karen stood in her expanded boutique, welcoming the French delegation with the poise and elegance of a seasoned haute couture icon. Elena bustled around the showroom, offering champagne and showcasing the latest seasonal collection, which had just been featured on the cover of Vogue.
"Your work is an absolute revelation, Miss Ashby," the lead French director praised, examining a hand-stitched velvet evening gown. "You bring a strength and resilience to your designs that simply cannot be taught in fashion schools."
"Thank you," Karen replied warmly. "My designs are a reflection of the place they were born. Marrow Hill taught me that true beauty comes from surviving the fire, not avoiding it."
Later that evening, after the delegation departed, Ambrose Calvano walked into the shop. He looked around the bustling, successful boutique, a rare, proud smile touching his lips.
