Karen opened the manila folder, placing document after document onto the digital projector connected to the courtroom screens. The stark, undeniable proof lit up the chamber for all to see.
"Exhibit A," Karen announced calmly. "The original partnership agreement between Marcus Reed and Arthur Sterling, proving financial collusion. Exhibit B: Marcus Reed’s handwritten confession, detailing how Arthur Sterling threatened his life the night before the 2004 fire. And Exhibit C: bank transfer records showing the exact funds used to finance the arson, traced directly from Sterling Holdings to the corrupt municipal inspectors of that era."
The courtroom gasped. Whispers rippled through the gallery like wildfire.
Victoria Sterling turned completely pale, her immaculate composure shattering into jagged pieces. She whispered frantically to her lawyers, but they were already shaking their heads, realizing the evidence was airtight, unassailable, and devastating.
"Furthermore," Karen continued, turning her piercing dark gaze directly onto Victoria, "Victoria Sterling didn't just inherit a fashion empire; she inherited stolen land, blood money, and a legacy of corruption. And today, that legacy ends."

All assets held by Sterling Holdings originating from the 2004 Marrow Hill land acquisitions are hereby frozen and ordered transferred to the Marrow Hill Historical Restoration Trust, managed by Miss Karen Ashby."
Victoria stood up abruptly, her chair scraping loudly against the wooden floor. "This is a kangaroo court! You'll hear from my appellate lawyers in New York!" she hissed, before storming out of the courtroom with her legal team trailing desperately behind her.
