Chapter 45 - The Return to Manhattan
Spring returned with a vibrant burst of color across both sides of the Atlantic. After nearly two years of monumental success in London, Sandy and Julian decided it was time to bring their global vision back to their roots. Apex Media was opening its newly expanded North American headquarters in Manhattan, occupying a stunning penthouse floor in Lower Manhattan overlooking New York Harbor.
Their return to New York was a triumphant homecoming. Stepping off the private jet at JFK Airport, they were greeted by David and a now fully grown, exuberant Buster, who nearly knocked Julian over with his enthusiastic tail-wagging.
That evening, they gathered at David’s suburban townhouse for a joyous family barbecue. Winston, now a rambunctious young golden retriever, instantly bonded with Buster, tearing across the emerald lawn in a glorious blur of black and gold fur.
David stood by the patio grill flipping gourmet burgers, watching Sandy and Julian laugh together near the garden table.

"It's good to have you back home, kids," David said, raising a spatula in greeting. "Though I suspect Manhattan didn't know what hit it when you both landed."
"We didn't just come back, Dad," Sandy smiled, walking over to wrap her arms around her father's waist. "We came back stronger."
