Julian stepped out onto the balcony, wrapping his arms securely around Sandy’s waist and resting his chin comfortably on her shoulder, just as he had done a decade ago.
"What are you thinking about, my love?" Julian whispered softly against her neck.
Sandy smiled, covering his hands with hers as the evening breeze swept across the New York Harbor, watching the city lights flicker on one by one across the horizon.
