Uncle Robert’s visit marked a subtle yet significant turning point in the extended family dynamics. The following Sunday, David hosted a family dinner at his suburban townhouse, inviting not only Sandy and Julian, but also Robert and a few close cousins who had reached out. The atmosphere around the dining table was warm, filled with laughter, rich food, and the aromatic scent of roasted rosemary chicken.
As David poured red wine into his brother’s glass, Robert smiled across the table at Sandy. "I still can't get over the keynote speech you delivered in Geneva, Sandy. Your father showed me the video clip. You had over a thousand international executives hanging on your every word."
