Chapter 79 - A New DawnSix months later, the grounds of the historic Vance Estate in upstate New York were bathed in the lush, vibrant greens of late spring. Manicured lawns stretched down to the sparkling edge of the private lake, where white tents embroidered with delicate silver lace had been erected for the event of the year.

The wedding of Ethan Vance and Clara Hayes was an intimate affair, attended only by close friends, trusted colleagues, and family—including Marcus, who beamed proudly from the front row.
Clara stood in the bridal suite overlooking the lake, adjusting the delicate lace veil that cascaded down the back of her ivory silk gown. The door clicked open, and Marcus stepped inside, leaning on his cane, smiling warmly.
"You look breathtaking, my dear," Marcus said softly. "Ethan is the luckiest man in this hemisphere."
"Thank you, Marcus," Clara smiled, her eyes shining with happy tears. "Though I'm still convinced he's the stubbornest man alive."
"Oh, absolutely," Marcus chuckled. "That runs strictly in the family."
Downstairs, standing at the altar beneath a massive floral arch of white roses and cascading ivy, Ethan adjusted his black tuxedo bowtie for the tenth time. His best friend and chief legal counsel clapped a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"Relax, boss," his friend grinned. "She's not changing her mind now. The prenup was signed, and she still loves you."
Ethan let out a genuine, booming laugh that relaxed the remaining tension in his shoulders. He looked out across the lawn as the string quartet began to play Pachelbel's Canon in D.
The heavy double doors at the end of the aisle opened.
And there she was.
Walking toward him on her father's arm, Clara looked like an absolute vision. Every hardship, every tear, every corporate battle, every sleepless night across continents had led precisely to this single, perfect heartbeat in time.
As she reached the altar, her father placed her hand gently into Ethan's. Ethan lifted her veil, his eyes shining with an overwhelming, sacred love.
"You look stunning," Ethan whispered, his voice trembling slightly.

"You clean up nice yourself, Mr. Vance," Clara whispered back with a playful smile.
The minister smiled warmly, beginning the ceremony that would bind their lives, their hearts, and their legacies together forever.
